Branch key roles update post AGM

Following the Shakespeare branch AGM on Wednesday 8th July 2026 we had been left with a number of key roles in the branch unfilled. We are pleased now to announce that the two key branch roles of Chair and Secretary have now been filled.

We are delighted to welcome Rhys Williams as Branch Chair and Ruth McLaren as Branch Secretary. We would like to thank them both for volunteering to take on these important roles and for helping to ensure the continued future of Shakespeare CAMRA.
We would also like to extend our special thanks to Lloyd Evans, who has stepped down as Branch Chair following a long and valued tenure. Lloyd has made a significant contribution to the branch during his time as Chair, and we are grateful for the time, commitment and enthusiasm he has given to Shakespeare CAMRA.

We look forward to working with Rhys and Ruth as the branch continues to promote and support real ale, cider and the local pub scene across our area.
The Good Beer Guide Submissions Co-ordinator and Website Co-ordinator roles remain unfilled, and we would welcome anyone interested in getting involved with the branch to come forward.

The future of Shakespeare CAMRA now looks much rosier

At the AGM, Lloyd Evans presented special award certificates to Gwen and Pete to recognise their contribution to the branch as out going Secretary and GBG Officer amongst many other roles and contributions made during their time volunteering.
